Joseph Mullen completed his apprenticeship with Ross Harper in 1985 and was assumed as a Partner in September of 1988. Since joining the firm he has dealt with matters relating to property, both commercial and residential. Joe has acted for and continues to act for major house builders and smaller quality house builders in the acquisition of land for residential development and the subsequent sales of the dwellinghouses erected on the acquired land. He has acted on behalf of clients in relation to the acquisition of land for development through License Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements and was involved in the privatisation of Scottish Coal as Solicitor acting for the purchasing company dealing with all property matters involved in the privatisation and sale. He also has experienced in acting on behalf of both Landlord and tenant for negotiating, drafting and completing of commercial leases for commercial property for varied uses including shop premises, office premises and industrial use. He has the experience of acting on behalf of lenders and financial institutions, including Banks in relation to commercial lending and preparation of security documentation and is a panel member with Lloyds TSB for commercial property work. Over the years Joe has dealt with the purchase and sale of a variety of businesses with property related aspects including those such as a pharmacy, public house, restaurant, petrol garages and shops.
