James Herald qualified as a solicitor from Strathclyde University in 1971. He spent his first three years working for Brechin Robb in Glasgow. In January 1975 he joined Ross Harper as a court assistant and was appointed Partner in 1976. He is currently the longest serving Partner within the firm. For many years Jim has been in charge of the south side Shawlands office and deals mainly in domestic conveyancing and executry work. He was a former class 1 referee appointed by the SFA and refereed at the highest level both domestically and internationally. He is now a member of the SFA referee committee. Other memberships include the Law Society golf committee and Vice Captain at Whitecraigs golf club.
