Ross Harper has a successful Criminal Team that has been in existence since the firm began in 1961. The Criminal Team has grown into one of the biggest and most successful Criminal Departments in Scotland. Nearly all criminal work is carried with the benefit of legal aid and Ross Harper is the biggest provider of criminal legal aid in Scotland. The Department does also carry out private work. One of the frequent areas where we assist are road traffic and white collar fraud.
The Criminal Team have developed a huge amount of experience over the years and have expertise in the ares listed above..
The Criminal Team understand the necessity of providing an efficient service. The firm runs a 24 hour telephone line which ensures clients can get in touch with the Criminal Team, particularly if they are in custody. The Criminal Team ensures that any client that is in custody is seen as soon as possible.
The Team is headed up by two experienced Solicitors namely, Harvie Diamond who is the Head of the Department and Richard Freeman who is a Solicitor/Advocate. Below is a list of the other solicitors and paralegals who make up the Criminal Team.
The main criminal office is in Glasgow but there is also a criminal office in Hamilton. The Team there is led by Gerry Devaney.
